When Mike arrived at Hoa's house early one April morning, he found Hoa and her girls having a great time, bustling around and getting ready for the day. Hoa was trying on her veil to make sure it looked perfect (it did) and was about to slip into her traditional Vietnamese wedding outfit for the tea ceremony that was to be held downstairs.
The tea ceremony was beautiful, such a rich tradition with deep family roots. Ian was honoured to be welcomed into this wonderful family.
After the tea ceremony, we all headed off to Cambridge Mill. Hoa slipped into her western bridal gown and got ready for the second ceremony of the day.
Check out Hoa's stunning bouquet! Calla lillies, tulips, freesia, irises - the perfect mix of all the best purples for spring!
Next we headed back to the Mill for the ceremony. This couple is so sweet together, they just have a natural fit and their ceremony was just lovely.
I have to explain the next couple of photos before we go on. Hoa and the bridal party conspired to play a hilarious trick on Ian. All of the groomsmen were told to line up and put blindfolds on, and the music kicked in and they all started dancing. Then everyone stopped - everyone but Ian, who was left dancing his heart out by himself in front of his friends and family! It was pretty hilarious, and luckily Ian has a wonderful sense of humour!
How cute is this cake topper?! Super cute!
The dancing continued and the evening went on, and it was a wonderful, fun day for this awesome couple!
