Olivia & Tom - Cottage Country Wedding, Barrie

February 23, 2015  •  14 Comments

We've been excited for Olivia and Tom's wedding ever since Mike did their super cute engagement shoot at McMaster University. These two have so much chemistry, they look like they were literally made for each other. Olivia says that snuggling is her favourite, and it's not hard to see why - I think these two could be models for how snuggling is supposed to look!

The wedding took place at the intimate and rustic Nottawasaga Conservation Authority. Both Tom and Olivia are major outdoors people, so it was the perfect fit. The two of them thought of every single detail for their acorn & scottish themed wedding, right down to the absolutely adorable handmade acorn chocolates and matching cake. I just adore Olivia's vintage dress, she looked absolutely gorgeous, especially with her fantastic shoes from very cool (and local!) Poetic Licence. Even the bridesmaids dresses were unique in the way that an evening or formal party dress probably wouldn't have fit with the theme, but the sweet swingy skirt and fitted cardigans were perfect.

As you take a look through my favourites of this wedding, take note of the night time shots near the end - this is a prime example of what happens when Mike gets a bolt of inspiration for a picture. He might make you stand  outside in the cool night air, wondering what the heck he could possibly be doing, but believe me, Olivia and Tom trusted their photographer and the results were amazing.

I’m excited to see more content like this in the future because I feel like I always walk away with something valuable after reading your posts.
