Jessie & Dimitri's Ruthven Park NHS Wedding, Cayuga, Ontario

January 22, 2020  •  29 Comments

Before Dimitri met Jessie, he was in search of an 'impossible to find' woman. Or so said his mom. She needed to like old cars, like to hunt and like to cook but was also feminine and beautiful. Dimitri was pretty much looking for a modern day Xena, Warrior Princess. But when he met Jessie, all of his high expectations were blown out of the water. He had found his perfect match and she had found her knight in shining armour (not that she needed one!).

These two lovebirds were married at the gorgeous Ruthven Park National Historic Site in Cayuga, Ontario. What a gem this little venue is you guys - it definitely should be on everyone's radar. It's private, its rustic, it has a lot of space for all of your guests and the food is top notch. Did I mention it was private? One of the drawbacks of the bigger venues around here is they often have multiple weddings running at the same time and Ruthven is one venue where the only guests at your location will be your own. Plus it has incredible history, for all of you history buffs out there!

Here are some of my favourites from Jessie and Dimitri's beautiful fall day here in Ontario - the kind of day where you're still aware it was summer a few weeks ago but you are surrounded by the gorgeous fall leaves that we are so lucky to have.

Wasn't that beautiful? Plus, what a cool idea to hire an artist to do character sketches of each of your guests! Way more meaningful than a jar of jam :)

"I have a lot to think about after reading this piece. You hit on some profound realities, and your delivery of them was both forceful and elegant. I particularly valued your viewpoint on. I've had trouble putting it into words myself, but you did a fantastic job. Online content that appeals to both the intellect and the emotions is uncommon. Your remarks are important, so thank you for sharing this.
