When Mike arrived at Justin's house, Justin was busy getting ready for the big day ahead. A serious fellow, Justin was all business and made sure everything was perfectly in place. Lucky for him, he had a few equally as serious friends, who were just as nervous as he was. The guys may not have to worry about getting into a big dress or how to make a corset comfortable, but some of the belts and buckles and snaps that the tuxedo comes with are a little confusing!
After the guys were ready, we headed off the Cambridge Mill to start the rest of the day. Heather was just about to get into her dress, a dress that was fit for a princess and thats exactly what Heather looked like when she was done. We see a lot of slim silhouettes in bridal gowns, but I just love it when a girl goes all out and has a big gorgeous dress with diamonds and tulle and everything that makes a bride feel like she's in a fairy tale!
As the nerves pile up, Justin is looking pretty serious. Good thing his friends are around...and his bride is just around the corner! :)
Finally, married! And the smiles begin : ) I love how much Heather & Justin make each other smile. You can tell that when they are together, they are invincible!
Since a summer storm interrupted our outdoor photoshoot, we headed on inside to the reception. One of the things that Mike likes best about being a wedding photographer, is the challenge of unexpected things like sudden storms. He revels in thinking on his feet and we're always so excited when we get to see how awesome on-the-fly pictures turn out, especially in such a beautiful spot as Cambridge Mill!
After some toasting and some speeches, it was time for the first dance.
How amazingly elegant are these two? After lessons and many practices, Heather and Justin achieved the ultimate in a graceful first dance!
Not to be outdone, a levitating wedding guest :)
We wish both Heather & Justin all the very best in the future, especially on their new adventure in Western Canada!
