Amanda & Trevor Wedding at Knollwood Golf Club, Ancaster

January 11, 2014  •  2 Comments

I'm sitting here on a very rainy, gray winters day and I'm reminded of a poem that I once read and fell in love with, The Darkling Thrush, by Thomas Hardy. It's about a gloomy day that is made bright by the sweet song of a little bedraggled thrush, and its just so cute its hard not to smile when I read it.

What I also love about cloudy days, is how much brighter they can be when you get to revisit a gorgeous sunny fall day, like the day that Amanda and Trevor were married back in September at Knollwood Golf Club in Ancaster. When we did Trevor and Amanda's engagement shoot, we had a ton of fun with them - mainly because these two are willing to get down and dirty and have a lot of fun by having an all out paint fight. So when Mike arrived at Knollwood, he knew the day was going to be a fun, relaxed celebration full of a lot of laughter and Amanda's ray-of-sunshine smile.

I just love Amanda's wedding dress, you guys will see how beautifully it fits her. It's always a little bit of a challenge when you are petite like Amanda is to find a dress that doesn't overwhelm you, and this one is perfect.

After putting on her dress, Amanda walked down the steps and her bridal party and dad saw her for the first time. Notice all the dropped jaws? Because, this girl is stunning

Next, it was off to the church. We love the cool, sleek architecture of St Lukes Church. The light was streaming in in such a perfect way, so Amanda and Trevor were just glowing!

I love the romance of Amanda & Trevor, it only gets better as the day goes on, but check out this sweet little moment in the limo :)

Are these guys beautiful or what? Now comes the fun part, the reception. We love being in a room full of happy voices, lots of hugs and super big smiles and Trevor & Amanda simply had it all.

Our couples have all sorts of different ideas in lieu of clinking glasses for the bride and groom to kiss, and I love the idea of bean-bag toss. Looks like Trevor wanted to kiss his bride and kick up the competition!

Trevor and Amanda are destined to have a beautiful life together and we were honoured to be a part of the beginning of it!

Thanks so much you guys, glad you enjoyed it and love your pictures :) It was a pleasure working with you both!
