Elise & Jonathan - Grand Victorian, Niagara-On-The-Lake Wedding

February 05, 2014  •  13 Comments

What I love about this wedding is how seamlessly Elise & Jonathan blended both their French Canadian and Scottish heritages, their love of super hero's and boxing and topped it off with all the lace and romance and sweetness that represents their love for each other.

The wedding day was the kind of amazingly sunny, gorgeous fall days that we all hope for when we book an October wedding. The venue was to die for, the very elegant and amazing Grand Victorian Bed & Breakfast in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario. Mike arrived to a relaxed atmosphere where Elise and her friends were getting ready and enjoying the day, especially with their two cutie flower girls.

I just loved Elise's wedding ring, when I asked her where she got it I spent an unspecified amount of time looking at the Michael Hill website. You'll see her bracelet in some of the pictures later, and she got that at the delightfully named Bling on King in my hometown of Dundas, Ontario.

Before Elise slipped into her dress, Mike went over to the next room to spend a little time with Jonathan and his guys.

For the record, the guys were all wearing super-hero underwear underneath their kilts, however I didn't get explicit permission from each guy so I didn't want to post those photos. But let me just say that if we ever did a calendar featuring all of our hunky grooms (which we wont, cause that's weird) these guys would be on the cover.  grooms men getting ready

In no time, Jonathan was ready to go for his lovely lady! groom

The wedding ceremony was held at the charming St. Saviour Anglican Church, an amazing building built in 1879.

As Mike's time with Elise & Jon was winding down, they headed back to the Grand Victorian to take advantage of the fabulously wide wrap around porch that hugs the house.  But first, Elise with proof of her ass-kicking-ness:

We just know that these two have a love that is for keeps. They are so very much each others 'person', its really beautiful and an honour to have been part of the day that tied them together forever!
