A couple of months ago, I was talking to a couple I know who have children who are grown up and recently moved out of the house. They were talking about how fast life goes, and how quickly kids grow up - something we all hear, but when you get to the 'other side' (the empty nest side), it becomes real. This couple mentioned that it was the every day, regular days that they missed the most. Just putting the kids to bed, snuggling in for a story, having dinner together. So we got the idea to extend Mike's documentary style talents into our family photography sessions. I love this kind of shoot - you dont have to get dressed up, you don't have to plan for location and worry about the weather and whether or not your kids are going to behave. It's just real life, beautifully captured.
Here is one of the first sessions we did, on a regular, everyday weeknight. Baby Rowen just learned to crawl a few weeks ago, I just love her bright, curious little face!
