Winter has come early here in Southern Ontario along with our first snowfall of the season. Our girls and the puppy are pretty excited (the girls are wondering why we can't put the Christmas tree up now) and I'm ready to snuggle in for a couple of months. I wanted to blog about Sophia & Vince's beautiful winter wedding to kick of the season, we just love winter weddings here at Zekar Photography. I think a lot of couples don't realize how cozy and intimate they can be, not to mention many vendors (including us!) offer off-season discounts, so you can still have your dream wedding at some significant savings. 

Sophia and Vince got ready at the C Hotel by Carmen's here in Hamilton. I love the themed room that Vince got ready in, it really suited his style and even matched his cool cufflinks. And can we talk about the absolute perfection that are Sophia's red lips? I am a super pale blonde person so a deep red lip doesn't always work on me, which is too bad because I think it's super beautiful. I'm pretty sure Vince was a big fan of how amazing Sophia looked too - just look at his expression as she walks down the aisle! This wedding was the perfect mix of Italian and Greek traditions, complete with the traditional greek dance with the koluk at the end of the night. 

The wedding ceremony was held at the Old Ancaster Town Hall. This is a really good alternative if you aren't into having a wedding at a church, it can fit just as many people and you can call your own shots. Plus from a photography standpoint, the natural light streaming through those windows is a dream. I love how Sophia and Vince did the traditional confetti toss as they walked out of the building, these two had a lot of fun with traditions throughout their day.  Before heading off to the reception hall, we made a quick stopover at The Cotton Factory. Our studio is located there and we love doing wedding party shots there, its so diverse and when its cold outside it's a great place to warm up. 

The reception was held at Carmen's Banquet Hall in Hamilton, Ontario. Carmen's does an excellent job at their weddings, they are super professional and they've been doing it forever so you know you're getting a venue that has a ton of experience. Kinda like our team here at Zekar Photography :)
