Even though most of our weddings are big, full day celebrations, it's always a treat when we get the chance to take part in really intimate weddings like Amanda and Steve had. (And p.s, we have a special rate for small events like this so give us a shout if you're interested!)
Their wedding took place on a gorgeous spring day in Niagara-On-The-Lake, one of the prettiest areas here in Southern Ontario. These two live across the border but chose to have their small cocktail style wedding at Stratus Vineyards, a very cool and stylish winery in Niagara-On-The-Lake. One of the things Mike likes best about weddings with a smaller guest list is the fact that only the closest family and most VIP friends are invited to celebrate with the couple, so the emotional connections are always really beautiful.
Amanda and Steve shucked tradition and decided to get dressed together, which is really beautiful - dressing eachother up so they look their best for eachother. They got ready at the fabulous Pillar and Post Spa, and then headed out for a walk around town to snap some photos before the ceremony. They kept remarking on how friendly everyone was, and it's true - we Canadians sure love a beautiful celebration of love! But the tourists and other passersby all made sure that Amanda and Steve felt loved and celebrated and it made for such a great candid aspect to their pre-wedding photos.
Later on at their post-ceremony celebration, they had the talented Candice Sand serenading their guests as they enjoyed their romantically relaxed day.
Take a look at some of my very favourite images from Amanda and Steve's beautifully intimate, cocktail style wedding day!
