After the beautiful celebration yesterday, Krista and Samir were so excited to spend another day in celebration of their love. Honestly, these two did not stop smiling the entire day, and you can see why. They are just head over heels for eachother and it was such a pleasure to photograph this day.
I always like to ask about extra little details to get a feel for how our couples love stories unfold. So many of our clients meet during school - either highschool or in post-secondary, and these two met while training together at University. Their mutual love of learning brought the two of them together, both of them are highly intelligent experts in their field. It's always nice when you've got another smarty-pants to bounce ideas off of and before they knew it, they loved more than each others study notes.
When Krista told me how Samir proposed, I knew that these two were for keeps. It was a simple enough idea, a sweet proposal at home one day after Krista had been away with work for a couple of weeks. Because he proposed bright and early one morning, but wanted to create a moody candlelit ambiance, he had to figure out how to block out all that light - and what a better way to do it than to cover every single window in christmas wrapping paper. Ladies, any man who goes to that length to create the absolute perfect proposal for you, is a man who is going to go to great lengths for you for your whole marriage.
Take a look at some of my favourites from their beautiful day. Pay special attention to the absolutely adorable father / daughter reveal - I am so glad these are a 'thing' these days and I hope they never stop, it's so, so special.
I adore Krista's lace wedding gown, it's so timeless and fits her absolutely perfectly.
So this was REALLY cool. The fire is to symbolize the forging of two rings into one eternal, everlasting ring. This is the first time I've seen this type of thing and its incredibly meaningful, don't you think?
When the evening pulls the sun down,
And the day is almost through,
Oh, the whole world it is sleeping,
But my world is you
Wasn't that gorgeous? If you are interested in seeing how we can capture your day, give us a shout - we'd love to chat!
