Zekar Photography - Award Winning Wedding Photographers for 2015

January 06, 2016  •  24 Comments

We are pretty proud to announce that our lead photographer, Mike Tigchelaar, came in third overall in Canada for the PWPC Fall 2015 Photography Awards. It's an honour to be selected by this panel of professional photographers and even more of an honour because the competition was so stiff. Thanks to all of our couples for being so awesome, we couldn't have done it without you guys!

First off, Kamila placed first in the Movement & Motion category, with her passion filled photo of Zak & Carolyn.

Mike placed first in the Wedding Day Details Category, with this unique ring shot featuring some confused goldfish from Michelle & Mark's wedding.

And he also placed first in the Dance Floor Category with this absolute tear jerker that happened at Abby & Kevin's wedding. These two were the only ones left on the dance floor for being married the longest - 65 years! Man this gets me choked up!

Mike placed 3rd in the Wedding Day Details Category, with this owly dude.

I just love everyone's expressions in this one, Shannon and Brandon had one of the most animated bunch of friends I've ever seen! Mike placed 11th in the Dance Floor Category in this one.

Jessie & Steve had a lot of fun and helped Mike land 12th in the Cutting The Cake Category. By this time of the night, it doesn't really matter what your makeup looks like after :)

And last but not least, we've got this big sister and her squish of a brother. Mike placed 14th in the Kids Being Kids Category

What I also admire is how you didn’t just stick to surface-level information. You went into detail, yet it never felt overwhelming. That’s a skill in itself! I’m excited to see more content like this in the future because I feel like I always walk away with something valuable after reading your posts.

Whoa, this article was better than I had anticipated! I came here expecting a straightforward answer, but I discovered far more than I had imagined. I was captivated by your writing style and the way the material flowed from beginning to end. Finding a site that prioritizes useful thoughts and clarity over fluff is refreshing. Without a doubt, I'll share this with a few others who I know will find it useful. I appreciate you taking the time and making such an important post!

This is a very well-written and informative post. I really appreciate how clearly you explained the topic and broke everything down into easy-to-understand points. The examples you shared made the content even more practical. I’ll definitely be coming back to your blog for more updates like this.
