Kayla and Taylor's wedding took place this past September, downtown Toronto. These two lovebirds created a wedding style that was all their own - laid back, fun loving, but with a thread of sophistication and class woven throughout the day. With a first-look that took place within the iconic eyes of the CN Tower and a cocktail reception that was held at 2nd Floor Events, this is one wedding you guys will definitely want to take a look at.
When Kamila arrived at Taylor's suite at the Hyatt Regency, he was just slipping on his elegantly tailored (pun intended) suit that he'd picked up at Nordstrom's. I seriously love the navy blue and black details with subtle brocade design of this suit - its so classic and yet has that edge of style that seems to be a hallmark of this handsome groom.
A over in the bridal suite, the elegant Kayla was also putting on the finishing touches. Her cocktail style wedding dress was the perfect fit - fun and sophisticated all at once.
I love this sweet little flower girl. Kids on wedding days are always the best, especially little girls. It's like all of a sudden this person they knew and loved, turns into a princess for the day and it's just so magical for them.
The perfect family photo! :D
As Kayla steps into the elevator on her way up to see Taylor for the first time, I love how this bridesmaid is all like 'HEY-OOOO!' haha!

Kayla & Taylor's first look took place on top of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Toronto. One of the cooler first look locations we've done by far! I'm imagining how many people might have looked out their windows and saw this sweet couple embracing for the first time :)
Now how's that for romantic?!
After the reveal, the entire bridal party took a walk around the neighbourhood to do a few more shots before the reception. The ambiance of one of the coolest cities, mixed with the elegant attire of the bridal party, mixed with the fun and laughter and love of everyone involved, made this part of the day a lot of fun to shoot. I love how the bridesmaids are all in unique black gowns, something they can wear not just on the wedding day but to any formal function. Each one is unique, yet everyone ties into each other. Kind of like how each bridesmaid has a unique relationship with Kayla, but they are all tied in with their love of this beautiful bride.
This kind of shot almost always happens when we are doing wedding street photography. We love it!

Kayla & Taylor's small, intimate wedding ceremony took place at 2nd Floor Events in Toronto. A funky, industrially inspired event location that was perfect for this laid back couple.
Such a sweet moment between these two lovebirds!
After dinner, it was time for cocktails and congratulations. Everyone was having a lot of fun with each other and the joy of the day was just bubbling over into laughter and happy conversations.
Guys - Taylor actually wrote a rap for his beloved Kayla! It was the best ever, and so much fun. How many lucky brides can say they've had a song written for them??
